India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is back in the nets. The 34-year-old who has been named in the India Test squad for Border Gavaskar Trophy returned to practice on Thursday (January 19). Notably, India is set to square off against Australia in a four-match Test series followed by a three-match ODI series, starting February 9, 2023.

The veteran cricketer took to Twitter to share his update and progress after his long stay  at the National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru. Jadeja shared a video of himself bowling in the nets but was seen with a protective tape around his right knee. “Left arm around #priority,” Jadeja captioned the video.

Although India has been named in the Test squad for first two Tests against Australia, but a call on his availability will be taken ahead of the first Test as he is yet to regain complete fitness.

Jadeja had notably injured his knee during the Asia Cup match against Hong Kong last year. He has been out of action since then and even missed the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
