Mumbai Indians’ star batter Rohit Sharma received a special memento at Wankhede Stadium ahead of the IPL 2025 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The five-time IPL winning captain, was presented with the memento by BCCI President Roger Binny ahead of the ongoing match. The memento was given to him for completing 18 years in the cash-rich league.

Rohit Sharma played a major role in shaping Mumbai Indians’ legacy over the years. Starting his IPL career Deccan Chargers Rohit won his first title in 2009. In 2011, Rohit joined MI and was appointed as the captain of the franchise in 2013. Since then, MI won five titles (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020) in the IPL under his captaincy becoming the joint-most successful team in the IPL. Rohit is also third highest run getter in IPL history with 6684 runs from 262 matches in his career so far.
