Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Abhishek Sharma and Mumbai Indians (MI) star batter Suryakumar Yadav were seen having a hilarious moment with each other in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 contest between their teams played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on April 17. The crucial match between both sides witnessed SRH’s defeat by four wickets and 11 balls to spare. Will Jacks’ all-round heroics (2/14 and 36 off 26) helped MI bag their third win in the competition. The 26-year-old England stalwart’s performance got him the player of the match (POTM) award. This was SRH’s fifth loss in the tournament.

Batting first after losing the toss, SRH got a fine start from their openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head. Abhishek led the charge and amassed 36 runs off 26 deliveries. Noting the SRH openers getting settled in the middle, MI captain Hardik Pandya stepped up and took the ball to deliver his first over.

In the same over, Suryakumar went to Abhishek to know if he was carrying the same chit that he showed after hitting his match-winning century against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Hyderabad. The MI veteran also checked the 24-year-old’s pockets, which was empty. Following this incident, the young SRH opener got caught by Raj Bawa on the third delivery of the over from Hardik, who delivered the first breakthrough to his side. Abhishek got dismissed after scoring 40 off 28.
