In match number 67 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, IPL 2022 winners, Gujarat Titans (GT) are hosting former champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the afternoon match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 25. However, both teams are coming into this match on the back of a defeat in their respective previous matches, GT will be eyeing to consolidate their position at the top of the points table.
As the two skippers, Shubman Gill and MS Dhoni, walked out for the toss, it was latter, who returned victorious. After winning the toss, he elected to bat first. “We will bat first. It (pitch) looks nice and hard, think it will remain the same throughout the 40 overs. It's quite hot, looks like a good track,” Dhoni said.
Kagiso Rabada misses out; Gerald Coetzee comes in for GT
Speaking at the toss, GT skipper, Shubman Gill also seemed happy on the toss decision as he reiterated that his side was looking to bowl first. Furthermore, when inquired of his team combination, Gill confirmed a change. “We have one change, Gerald Coetzee comes in for Kagiso Rabada,” Gill said. CSK also saw a change in their XI as Deepak Hooda came in place of Ravichandran Ashwin.
