In the US Open 2025 quarter-final between Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz, the former clinched a superb win and qualified for the semi-finals, where he will take on Carlos Alcaraz. Following the triumph, the legend was seen in a jovial mood. He was seen dancing on the blockbuster film KPop Demon Hunters. The dance was dedicated to his daughter Tara, who turned eight on the day.
After performing moves, Djokovic hoped that his performance brought cheers to Tara’s face. “We are at home doing different choreographies, and this is one of them. Hopefully I’ll make her smile when she wakes up in the morning. This was a big present for Tara,” remarked Djokovic during his on-court interview.
Novak Djokovic expected to get stiff challenge from Carlos Alcaraz
Novak Djokovic will be expected to produce the best in the semi-final against Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz. The Serbian is chasing his 25th Grand Slam title and the young Spanish player is expected to deliver a tough time to the veteran. Both players have faced each other on eight occasions in which Djokovic emerged victorious on five occasions while Alcaraz bagged three wins.
Discussing their previous meet, it came at the Australian Open 2025 in January. Djokovic went on to win that game by figures of 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4. Alcaraz advanced to the semi-final after beating Czech’s Jiri Lehecka in the quarter-final. Currently, Alcaraz is ranked second while Djokovic is holding the seventh spot in ATP rankings. Alcaraz has won five titles so far and he will look to be disciplined against the Serbian in the semi-final to win the sixth title.
