Bus driver told me that you need to bowl at 4th-5th stump line to Virat Kohli: Himanshu Sangwan
In the crucial match which saw Virat Kohli make a return to his state team Delhi after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a 10-point diktat, saw him get out after having scored only six runs off 15 deliveries. The stalwart got out on an off-stump delivery, adding to his poor run in recent times. Speaking in an exclusive interview, the Railways bowler revealed some untold advise which he received from the team bus driver.
"The bus in which we were travelling, even the bus driver told me that you need to bowl at the fourth-fifth stump line to Virat Kohli, and then he will get out. I had self-belief. I just wanted to focus on my own strengths rather than someone else's weaknesses. I bowled to my strengths and ended up getting the wicket," Himanshu said in the interview.
"There was no specific plan for Virat Kohli in general. The coaches told us that the players from Delhi like to play attacking cricket. They are all stroke players. We were told to bowl a disciplined line," he continued. It is to be noted that Virat Kohli got out eight times in his nine innings by edging the off-stump delivery in the BGT 2024-25.
