The eagerly-awaited contest between India and Pakistan at this year's ICC Men's Cricket World Cup has been rescheduled to a different day, while details of eight other matches have also been changed. The clash between India and Pakistan was originally slated to take place in Ahmedabad on Sunday, 15 October, but this has been moved a day earlier and will now be held at the same venue on Saturday, 14 October.


Asia Cup 2023: Team India to display "Pakistan" on jerseys for first time in history


The highly anticipated Asia Cup 2023 fixture between India and Pakistan will see a major addition to Team India’s kit as the jersey will display "Pakistan". The teams participating in the contest have to sport an Asia Cup logo on their jerseys for the 2023 edition and it has come to notice that the name of the hosts will appear at the bottom of the logo with the edition. The Indian cricketers will have "Pakistan" written on their jerseys as a mark of respect for the host nation.


When will tickets go live for ICC ODI World Cup 2023?


Fans can register for the Cricket World Cup in India from  August 15 as the tickets will be available to buy from August 25. The ticket sales will take place in phases starting from the Non-India warm-up matches and all non-India event matches on August 25 to the semifinals and final on September 15. Tickets for India games will be available from August 30.

The National Cricket Academy (NCA) reportedly scheduled a practice match for Indian wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul, either on Saturday, August 12 or Sunday, August 13. As per the reports, the final call on the availability of Rahul for the forthcoming Asia Cup 2023 would be made on his performance in the match.

Prithvi Shaw has etched his name in the history books by scoring an unbeaten 244 off just 153 balls in the Royal London One-Day Cup 2023. Playing for Northamptonshire against Somerset on Wednesday, August 9, Shaw became the first Indian and only the third player in the world to hit a double hundred in the tournament.
